Failure To Make a Statute of Limitations Deadline
By malpractice
An attorney’s failure to meet the deadline on a Statute of Limitations could be cause for a legal malpractice lawsuit if it resulted in a negative verdict for the attorney’s client.
In all civil lawsuits, including personal injury and malpractice claims, there are certain deadlines call “statutes of limitations” that must be met. Missing one of the deadline dates could result in your claim being thrown out, in which case you would be forfeiting your future right to file for damages as well. This is why lawyers are legally bound to file appropriate motions and legal documentation relative to your case according to the specified deadlines.
If your attorney has missed one of these deadlines, and the result had a negative impact on your case, you may have a right to file a malpractice lawsuit against the negligent attorney.
